Teaching to Change Your World & Life
Doug Stanton Ministries was founded and established by Doug & Karen Stanton in 1995. It has based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota and has touched their world. Doug has been in ministry for over 30 years and cut his teeth on church planting.

We have had a wonderful time this month in all the churches across Upper New York State. We are in the last week as we head to Colonie and Queensbury, NY. Doug has had a fresh revelation on the Faith of God that is vital to get us through this time in history, to make history, to apprehend our God given destiny. A New Base for a New Season
Doug and Karen have recently sold up in Minnesota after 20 years of ministry to and from this great State. God gave us a release some time back and resistance came from every where in every way, but we have prevailed. We have recently had a wonderful time in Australia after the death of Doug’s dad, in which we have had valuable time with family and particularly Doug’s mum.
As a family we have moved 21 times permanently (really) as we planted our home near a church plant, or where a revival or hot spot occurred in our ministry. Some time back God gave us several words that confirmed our season where we could choose a place for our next home. Karen encouraged me to my dream of having a farm, which has become “our dream”.
Any one who knows me and listened to my preaching and heart, you would know I have always had a love for the land. My dad had such a love for the land and it’s culture and it got all over me. I have resisted this love for the sake of the gospel and traveled our world ministering harder then most. Karen and I are gearing up for that to continue, but it will be from our new base in Alabama. We are west of Birmingham and for now it will be our retreat and solitude as we establish our new home. My hope is that it will be a place for my kids and grandkids to enjoy as we enjoy them into our future. My kids gave up a lot on the road and also gained a lot, but I have always longed for them to know the land as I have.
We appreciate your prayers and support as we gear up for the season at hand as this will be the important run for us all.
Doug & Karen
Sharna, Nate, Tristan & Jezelle have joined Doug & Karen. Doug and Karen planned to stay in Australia for this time after selling the DSMI Center and their home. They had planned to spend this extended time with Doug’s Parents, but tragically Doug’s dad Passed away after breaking his hip taking out the rubbish bin. He was 92 and finished his run after spending 92 years and 67 in marriage. This time has been precious to help my mum through this massive transition period. Mum is doing so well and we intend to be here for her 90th birthday in March. We have our daughter Sharna and her family with us now after a long flight from USA. Grandkids will be a great part of our time here as we show them the country and meet lots of relatives. Thank you for your prayers and support through this time.
My dad is still my hero. What a privilege to have such a great dad who loved his God, wife, family and country, as a great role model to all of his extended family. Surviving as a prisoner of war ( POW) after the “fall of Singapore”, he married his sweet heart, had five boys, and now has an extended family of over 44 and growing. As I right this there are 3 more great grand-children on the way.
He was faithfully married to my mum for just on 67 years. He had a love of the land and was an expert horsemen. He was a mans that could fix any thing and lay his hand to anything. That has inspired me to be able to have a go at anything that faces me. I am sure it is why I have faced and conquered so many challenges and changes in my life. I love my dad and miss him so much, as I planned to spend this time with him and my mum. Despite this loss, it is a wonderful time now with my mum who turns 90 in March. She is doing very well as my dad was a good provider.
Both parents have been a remarkable example of health in old age, and inspires me to live a long and healthy life.
I will be putting my dad’s war stories on line in the near future as I know some of these stories need to be told to the younger generation.
I miss you dad, but I know a big part of you lives in me as I face each day. See you latter in Heaven, so enjoy all that is prepared for you till we all reunite.
Your number 4 son,
